About ATTRUE — Fashion That Feels True | Supima Cotton Essentials
Fashion That
Feels True.
A wardrobe built on one refusal and one promise: no polyester, ever — and yes to the rarest natural cotton on earth, always.
Shop the Collection →"We were folding a six-month-old t-shirt that had already gone thin at the seams, pilled across the chest, and lost its colour — and reading a label that said 100% cotton. It wasn't. It was a cheap polyester blend wearing cotton's name. That was the moment ATTRUE was decided."
Our Story
Every founder story starts with a frustration. Ours started with a drawer full of them — t-shirts bought in good faith, worn a handful of times, and quietly retired because they no longer looked or felt like anything worth wearing. Cheap synthetic blends that traded comfort for a lower price tag, and sold that trade as normal.
On the other end of the market, we found the opposite problem. Luxury basics used genuinely excellent cotton — the same extra-long-staple Supima fibre grown on a handful of certified farms in the American Southwest — but charged $120 for a t-shirt where $90 of that price had nothing to do with the fabric at all.
Neither side was telling the truth about what mattered: the fibre itself. So in 2025, we went straight to the source. We worked with Supima-certified growers, tested the fabric obsessively, and built ATTRUE around one rule we have never broken since — zero polyester, zero synthetic blends, natural fibre only.
The Fabric: What Is Supima Cotton?
Supima stands for Superior Pima — a certified, trademarked designation for extra-long-staple cotton grown exclusively in the United States and independently audited from farm to finished garment by the Supima Association. It is not a marketing term. It is a measurable, verified fibre standard.
- Zero polyester, zero synthetic blends — 100% natural cotton fibre in every hoodie, 95% Supima / 5% elastane in our tees for stretch
- Naturally breathable — cotton fibres regulate temperature and wick moisture the way synthetic fibres simply cannot
- Naturally odour-resistant — breathable natural fibres don't trap bacteria the way polyester does, so it stays fresh through a full day of wear — not just out of the wash
- Hypoallergenic — no synthetic irritants, gentle against sensitive skin
- Fully biodegradable — natural cellulose fibre that returns safely to the earth, unlike polyester which never fully breaks down
- USA-grown and traceable — certified by the Supima Association from licensed farm to finished garment
Why ATTRUE, Not Just Any Brand
Most brands ask you to choose: cheap and disposable, or genuinely well-made and priced for a logo. We didn't think that trade-off should exist — so we built ATTRUE to remove it entirely.
